“We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about. People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our own innermost being and reality so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.” ~Joseph Campbell (The Power of Myth)
Un-natural to Natural. The road from Victim-to-Survivor-to-Thriver is not for the faint of Heart. Shifting frequency. Do the needs of the “one” outweigh the needs of the “many?” OR! Do the needs of the “many” outweigh the needs of the “one?” Death is just as precious as life on Earth. Without it there is no growth – no new sunrise – no renewal. An interesting thing is happening – the “shift” in America is becoming recognizable.
Bitter precedes Better.
The passing of a torch was made visible – with the death of the Honorable John Robert Lewis – one of the original 13 Freedom Fighters – a Civil Rights Icon and often referred to as “the Conscience of Congress.” Read here and here. America is in the process of reclaiming its Soul – Moral Compass – and Conscience. He passed the Civil Rights torch over to Black Lives Matter this week. It’s really a ‘thing.’ More torches will be passed in the coming months.
Without ‘compare and contrast’ – how would we know “where I am?” Humans are uncomfortable with not knowing “where I stand.” After a few months of feeling “stuck” – we about to become Un-Stuck. Expect progress! Programmed responses create a mechanical life. Refusing to bend creates a “breaking -point.” We rarely seek to replicate what we have – we seek the remedy – “think anti-matter to matter.”
“WHY” is the most important question – because it reveals ‘my true motives.’
Mother Nature is not that different than human parents. Anyone who has parented a teenager learns very quickly what happens when the teen is given some freedom and then ‘goes off the rails’ – abusing that freedom. The parent is responsible for holding them accountable for their actions which – ensures they do NOT have to repeat the lesson as an adult. In theory it works. In reality – psychology tells us that children often repeat parental behavior. Then it gets complicated.
Nature – on the other hand – only seeks to create balance – all sides considered.
August is a robust month – full of power-plays – push and pull meet ‘shove and shake.’ This week – expect revelation – the “all of a sudden” kind. There’s intensity. The air crackles – shocking many out of stasis. Misfits – mavericks – weirdos – and freaks – it’s your turn. Think back to around January 24, 2020. Seeds planted start blooming.
Spiral In – Spiral Out. Get on the “sideways-escalator” – in and out – back and forth. Find your center and connect with it often this week. We’re all passing through on Earth.
Advertising 101 – advertisers know that unhappy people overconsume buying stuff to make them feel good. They don’t bother trying to reach those with a sustained inner -peace – they buy ONLY the essentials. Be a good noticer of advertising this week. The goal is self-sustainability. 2020 will be over before we know it! Advertisers have been working on the Christmas advertising since June. Christmas “stuff” usually appears in stores by mid-August – right after “back-to-school-sales.”
“Good Trouble” (coined by John Lewis) requires screwing up the courage to speak up when needed. Drawing boundaries and saying – “enough is enough.” Rebels are going to be reborn this week. Some will feel encouraged – creative – proud – brave – emboldened – to dispel anything artificial to ‘make it real.’ People fear being disliked – so voices are quelled and quiet. That’s about to change – quick-fast-and-in-a-hurry.
“How much are you willing to pay (not necessarily in dollars) for my own freedom? How do I define freedom? How am I honoring my choices? How do my choices affect others? How do others choices affect me? What makes me FEEL alive” Good questions – but don’t forget to ask –“why do I ______?” Check motives.
Chances are higher than average – if we’re unconscious of our own behavior (self-blindness) – we will attract a scenario/situation into our lives to bring it to our attention. It will be very easy to go from “zero-to-Bitch-in-no-time-at-all.” If it happens – the question to ask is –“what am I learning to speak up about?”
Spread Your WINGS! If life was a race – we’d be entering Turn-4. Rest in Peace John Lewis – your job on Earth is done. Be yourself – trust yourself above ALL others. Trust your innate-best Better-Self to lead the way. You are loved more than you will ever know! All is well! ❤
“Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring.” ~John Robert Lewis – Civil Rights Icon
